FAQs

What should I look for in an SAT prep program?
A strong SAT prep program should provide a clear starting point, personalized instruction, realistic practice, expert feedback, and ongoing progress tracking. C2 uses diagnostic testing, customized SAT study plans, targeted reading, writing, and math instruction, timed practice, and regular plan adjustments while keeping parents informed throughout the process.
When should my child start preparing for the SAT?
Many students benefit from several months of consistent SAT preparation, but the right starting point depends on your student’s current performance, target score, anticipated test date, coursework, and schedule. At C2, we help families map those factors together so preparation can begin with enough time for skill development, practice, feedback, and adjustments. We recommend that students aim to finalize their SAT scores by the spring of their junior year leaving the summer between junior and senior year to develop an admissions strategy and to focus on their personal statement and supplemental essays. This means that many of our most successful students begin SAT preparation as early as 9th or 10th grade in order to maximize their test scores.
How is personalized SAT prep different from a large prep class?
Personalized SAT prep adapts instruction to a student’s specific strengths, gaps, score goals, and timeline instead of moving an entire class through the same material at the same pace. C2 combines personalized study plans with small-group instruction with three students per tutor, allowing tutors to provide individualized guidance while families receive ongoing progress updates at explicit milestones.
How much does SAT prep cost?
The cost of SAT prep at C2 Education depends on the student’s starting point, score goals, testing timeline, and recommended preparation plan. We begin by learning about your student’s goals and academic picture and may recommend a diagnostic test; from there, we build a personalized plan and review program options with your family during the consultation.
