Whatever kind of test your child is preparing for, C2 can help. Here are some other common tests we’ve helped students with:
State Standardized Exams
A growing number of states and school districts are adopting mandatory standardized tests to assess student performance, including the CRCT (Georgia), SOL (Virginia), TKS (Texas), STaR (California), ISAT (Illinois), MSA (Maryland), NJASK (New Jersey) and the Regents (NY). Your child may be required to pass such tests in order to be promoted to the next grade. C2 understands that your child may feel anxious, even afraid, as testing time approaches. That’s why we give your child the basic academic skills and test preparation that build confidence and improve test scores.
Entrance Exams for Private and Magnet Schools
Are you planning to enroll your child in a private school or magnet school? Did you know that many of these schools require that prospective students take entrance exams? C2 has helped many of our students get into some of the nation’s most competitive private, boarding, and magnet schools by showing them how to excel at these specialized entrance exams.
Our expanding list of acceptances at private and magnet schools now includes Thomas Jefferson HS (Fairfax County, VA), Montgomery Blair HS (Montgomery County, MD), Illinois Math and Science Academy (Aurora, IL), Harvard Westlake (Los Angeles, California), Stuyvesant High School (New York, NY), Westminster School (Atlanta)and Phillips Andover Academy (Andover, MA).
Selective Summer Programs
Many C2 students enroll in gifted and talented programs offered by various universities throughout the country, including the Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth (Johns Hopkins CTY) and the Duke University Talent Identification Program (Duke TIP).
Many gifted and talented summer programs recruit gifted school age children based on their performance on grade level standardized tests. C2 works to prepare gifted students for entrance into these programs by providing challenging, advanced programs to further develop their minds.
