Tony, High School Freshman, Maryland

Self-Described Personality
Well-dressed, down-to-earth guy.

Life Outside the Classroom.
Tony loves to play football (he’s a quarterback and wide receiver), ride dirt bikes, watch movies and shop for clothes. Lately, he’s been giving some thought to getting a job at Six Flags this summer, or working in the family ice cream truck business.

Academic Bragging Rights.
Though he’s only been attending C2 for a couple of months, Tony has definitely noticed a significant difference in his grades at school. His test scores in math and English “have gone from D’s to B’s.”

The C2 Advantage.
“Since I’ve been at C2, the instructors have really motivated me to participate in class. They made me realize that if I don’t ask questions when I don’t understand something, I’ll never get the answers I need in order to fully comprehend what they’re trying to teach,” he remarks. “C2 has a really friendly atmosphere, too,” he says. “I’ve gotten to know most of the teachers over the past two months, and they all call me by name when they see me.”

Big Dreams.
Ever since he was a little kid, Tony has dreamed of flying planes. He hopes to join the Air Force or attend South Carolina State upon finishing high school, and to live out his dreams with a career as a commercial airline pilot.
