Life Outside the Classroom.
Charles’ interests outside the classroom are wide ranging: he is a member of a fencing league and competes in tournaments, he enjoys baking (his dad is a chef and started teaching him early on), he writes poetry and creative stories, and he is an absolute history buff, particularly when the topic is the Renaissance, Roman Empire or Persian Wars.
Academic Bragging Rights.
Around this time last year, Charles was having trouble keeping up in algebra class. He says C2 gave him the support he needed to work himself out of a hole and, by the end of the school year, he was getting A’s. “Now I like math much more. Learning algebra has made geometry much easier this year, too.”
The C2 Advantage.
Charles says, “Since coming to C2, I’ve become a lot more organized. I keep a calendar with all my scheduled tests and quizzes.” He also mentions, “At C2, the teachers are genuinely nice people. They provide a comfortable atmosphere and personal attention, and they let us know that everything is open for discussion.”
Big Dreams.
Though he hasn’t started exploring information about colleges yet, Charles is fairly certain he wants to become a history teacher one day. When asked at what level he’d like to teach, he responded, “High school,” then quickly added, “AP history classes. I want to teach serious students who really want to learn.”

Smart essays focus on well-structured arguments. Grammar and spelling are secondary and give you no score advantage.
