Natalie Martz, Lilburn, GA
What brought her to C2.
A natural entrepreneur, Natalie opened a business while still in college at the age of 19. Her business was a karate school, but not your run-of-the-mill type: she also had after-school homework assistance programs designed to instill a disciplined daily routine of good habits. After spending time on school work, students would then learn their martial arts.
What makes her a smart director.
Considering the significant immigrant population in the Lilburn area, Natalie emphasizes to students that “you CAN do whatever you want, especially in this country — you can do whatever you want, but you need an education to do it. It won’t be easy, but you have to invest the time now.” She also takes the time to educate C2 parents on how to help their children move forward and succeed.
Life outside C2.
Natalie began studying martial arts at age 5 and holds a black belt in tae kwon do. She and her husband Mike have a Rottweiler named Roxie. Ever in tune with the challenges facing her students, Natalie’s favorite book is The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens by Sean Covey.
